Q&A

Is Shopify good for Algeria?

Quick answer

Shopify is a powerful global platform but not ideal for Algeria: no COD math, no ready Yalidine integration, dollar pricing (from $29/month) and no Arabic-first UI. It fits if you sell internationally by card, but for a local Algerian COD store a platform like Mystoq or YouCan is a better, lower-hidden-cost fit.

Where Shopify struggles

No built-in COD math to compute true CAC on delivered orders, no official Yalidine integration (paid third-party apps needed), dollar billing exposed to FX, and a partly Arabized UI rather than Arabic-first.

When it fits

If you sell outside Algeria by card or need a vast ecosystem of international apps, Shopify remains a solid choice.

The local alternative

For an Algerian COD store, a locally built platform (Mystoq) offers Yalidine, FakeShield and dinar pricing with no workarounds. Compare by your real market.
